SUMMARY:Emergency Disaster Training for Child Care Providers (In-Person)
DESCRIPTION:This training will help prepare Child Care Providers to respond to real-world emergencies with confidence\, clarity\, and courage.  Participants will learn age‑appropriate emergency actions\, how to create home‑based evacuation and shelter‑in‑place plans\, injury‑prevention strategies\, and best practices for clear communication with families. Also\, participants will be introduced to Lionheart’s signature 8R Emergency Response Protocol\, a simple\, repeatable framework that strengthens calm\, compliant\, and consistent care when it matters most.\n\n\nLearning Outcomes:\n\n\nParticipants will build the confidence and readiness required to respond effectively and safeguard children in emergency situations.\nParticipants will learn age‑appropriate\, home‑based emergency procedures.\nParticipants will learn about injury prevention\, communication\, and family reunification practices.\nParticipants will develop and practice skills in calm response\, compliance\, and continuity of care.\n\n  \nPlease Note: Registration will close Friday\, June 5th\, or\, when all spots are filled.   \nParticipants can be added to a wait list by contacting Regina Garcia-Lemye at reginag@4c-alameda.org. \n\nThank you for your interest! \nRegistration is closed.
