SUMMARY:Preventative Health\, Safety & Nutrition for Child Care Providers - 3 Part Training
DESCRIPTION:Module 1- Prevention of Infectious Diseases: Monday April 11\, 2022 6:30pm-9:30pm\nModule 2- Injury Prevention: Tuesday April 12\, 2022  6:30pm-9:30pm\nModule 3- Nutrition: Wednesday April 13\, 2022 6:30pm-8:30pm\nThe curriculum is used to train child care providers who are new to the field or experienced early care and education professionals who are taking the course to update their knowledge on current health and safety practices. This course provides 8 hours of the Preventive Health and Safety and Nutrition requirement\, using curriculum and materials approved by the California Emergency Medical Services Authority\, under the direction of the UCSF-California Childcare Health Program Preventive Health Training Program\, Bobbie Rose and Mira Liao. The course includes 1 hour of nutrition and instruction in the prevention of lead exposure\, as required by California Health and Safety Code Section 1596.866.  \nPlease note the following:  \n\nA working webcam is required to participate in this class \nParticipants will be contacted by 4Cs staff to arrange pick up for course curriculum and materials one week prior to the first-class  \nTo receive certification\, participants must attend and complete all 3 modules \nYou must register separately for each attendee and pay the $125.00 fee\n\n\n\nThank you for your interest in this class – registration is closed.  Please email healthandsafety@4c-alameda.org  for additional class schedules. \n\n*Payment Options\nAfter completing and submitting your registration form\, you will be directed to the PayPal page to pay the $125.00 registration fee. DESCRIPTION:Module 1&2: Monday April 25\, 2022 6:30pm – 9:30pm ZOOM\nModule 2&3: Tuesday April 26\, 2022 6:30pm – 9:30pm ZOOM\nModule 4: Saturday April 30\, 2022 8:30am – 10:00am (session 1) or 11am – 12:30pm (session 2)  In-person at Hayward office\n\nThis curriculum is used to train child care providers who are new to the field or experienced early care and education professionals who are taking the course to refresh their knowledge and keep their certification current. This training curriculum provides the eight hours of EMSA approved CPR/First Aid training required to obtain a child care license.   \nPlease note the following:  \n\nA working webcam is required to participate in this class  \nTo receive certification\, participants must attend and complete all 4 modules \nYou must register separately for each attendee \nModule 4 will be an in-person session with no more than 12 individuals present. 4Cs staff will not be verifying vaccination status for this session however\, we will be following all CDC recommendations for masking and social distancing.
