SUMMARY:CPR/FA for Child Care Providers June 12th\, 2026 (In Person Class)
DESCRIPTION:This curriculum is used to train child care providers who are new to the field or experienced early care and education professionals who are taking the course to refresh their knowledge and keep their certification current. This training curriculum provides the eight hours of EMSA approved CPR/First Aid training required to obtain a child care license.   \nThis class will be facilitated in English\, all participants must have a basic understanding of spoken and written English.  At this time\, translators and additional guests may not join attendees at 4Cs of Alameda County’s Health and Safety trainings due to capacity and regulation requirements.  If you need a class facilitated in a language other than English\, please contact Barbara Kasnic at barbarak@4c-alameda.org or Mary Beltran at maryb@4c-alameda.org for a list of other training organizations. \n Registration will end when capacity is reached (12 participants) or on June 4th\, 2026 or whichever comes first. \n\n\n\nThank you for your interest! SUMMARY:Emergency Disaster Training for Child Care Providers (In-Person)
DESCRIPTION:This training will help prepare Child Care Providers to respond to real-world emergencies with confidence\, clarity\, and courage.  Participants will learn age‑appropriate emergency actions\, how to create home‑based evacuation and shelter‑in‑place plans\, injury‑prevention strategies\, and best practices for clear communication with families. Also\, participants will be introduced to Lionheart’s signature 8R Emergency Response Protocol\, a simple\, repeatable framework that strengthens calm\, compliant\, and consistent care when it matters most.\n\n\nLearning Outcomes:\n\n\nParticipants will build the confidence and readiness required to respond effectively and safeguard children in emergency situations.\nParticipants will learn age‑appropriate\, home‑based emergency procedures.\nParticipants will learn about injury prevention\, communication\, and family reunification practices.\nParticipants will develop and practice skills in calm response\, compliance\, and continuity of care.\n\n  \nPlease Note: Registration will close Friday\, June 5th\, or\, when all spots are filled.   \nParticipants can be added to a wait list by contacting Regina Garcia-Lemye at reginag@4c-alameda.org. \n\nThank you for your interest! \nRegistration is closed. DESCRIPTION:Module 1- Prevention of Infectious Diseases\nModule 2- Injury Prevention\nModule 3- Nutrition \nThe curriculum is used to train child care providers who are new to the field or experienced early care and education professionals who are taking the course to update their knowledge and make sure they are up to date. This course provides 8 hours of the Preventive Health and Safety and Nutrition requirement\, using curriculum and materials approved by the California Emergency Medical Services Authority\, under the direction of the UCSF-California Childcare Health Program Preventive Health Training Program\, Mira Liao. The course includes 1 hour of nutrition and instruction in the prevention of lead exposure\, as required by California Health and Safety Code Section 1596.866.  \nAt this time\, translators and additional guests may not join attendees at 4Cs of Alameda County’s health and safety trainings including CPR & First Aid and Preventive Health due to capacity and regulation requirements. If an attendee brings a guest or translator\, they will be asked to wait in the lobby until the end of the class.
