DESCRIPTION:The core mission of the Community Care Licensing Division\, Child Care Licensing Program is to maintain the health and safety of children by ensuring that licensed child care facilities meet established Title 22 standards. The Family Child Care CARE Tool was developed to be used by Licensing Program Analysts (LPAs) when conducting inspections in licensed facilities.  This tool focused in three priority areas: Prevention\, Compliance\, and Enforcement. We will discuss the Family Child Care CARE Tool\, Title 22 Regulations\, and Children’s Personal Rights domain. Children’s Personal Rights is one of the main driven reasons for complaints. DESCRIPTION:Module 1- Prevention of Infectious Diseases\nModule 2- Injury Prevention\nModule 3- Nutrition \nThe curriculum is used to train child care providers who are new to the field or experienced early care and education professionals who are taking the course to update their knowledge and make sure they are up to date. This course provides 8 hours of the Preventive Health and Safety and Nutrition requirement\, using curriculum and materials approved by the California Emergency Medical Services Authority\, under the direction of the UCSF-California Childcare Health Program Preventive Health Training Program\, Mira Liao. The course includes 1 hour of nutrition and instruction in the prevention of lead exposure\, as required by California Health and Safety Code Section 1596.866.  \nAt this time\, translators and additional guests may not join attendees at 4Cs of Alameda County’s health and safety trainings including CPR & First Aid and Preventive Health due to capacity and regulation requirements. If an attendee brings a guest or translator\, they will be asked to wait in the lobby until the end of the class. DESCRIPTION:This curriculum is used to train child care providers who are new to the field or experienced early care and education professionals who are taking the course to refresh their knowledge and keep their certification current. SUMMARY:Preventative Health Practice for Child Care Providers May 3rd\, 2025 (In Person Class)
DESCRIPTION:Module 1- Prevention of Infectious Diseases\nModule 2- Injury Prevention\nModule 3- Nutrition \nThe curriculum is used to train child care providers who are new to the field or experienced early care and education professionals who are taking the course to update their knowledge and make sure they are up to date. This course provides 8 hours of the Preventive Health and Safety and Nutrition requirement\, using curriculum and materials approved by the California Emergency Medical Services Authority\, under the direction of the UCSF-California Childcare Health Program Preventive Health Training Program\, Mira Liao. The course includes 1 hour of nutrition and instruction in the prevention of lead exposure\, as required by California Health and Safety Code Section 1596.866.  \nAt this time\, translators and additional guests may not join attendees at 4Cs of Alameda County’s health and safety trainings including CPR & First Aid and Preventive Health due to capacity and regulation requirements. If an attendee brings a guest or translator\, they will be asked to wait in the lobby until the end of the class.
