SUMMARY:CPR/FA for Child Care Providers April 12th\, 2025 (In Person Class)
DESCRIPTION:This curriculum is used to train child care providers who are new to the field or experienced early care and education professionals who are taking the course to refresh their knowledge and keep their certification current. This course provides 8 hours of the Preventive Health and Safety and Nutrition requirement\, using curriculum and materials approved by the California Emergency Medical Services Authority\, under the direction of the UCSF-California Childcare Health Program Preventive Health Training Program\, Mira Liao. The course includes 1 hour of nutrition and instruction in the prevention of lead exposure\, as required by California Health and Safety Code Section 1596.866.  \nAt this time\, translators and additional guests may not join attendees at 4Cs of Alameda County’s health and safety trainings including CPR & First Aid and Preventive Health due to capacity and regulation requirements. If an attendee brings a guest or translator\, they will be asked to wait in the lobby until the end of the class. This course provides 8 hours of the Preventive Health and Safety and Nutrition requirement\, using curriculum and materials approved by the California Emergency Medical Services Authority\, under the direction of the UCSF-California Childcare Health Program Preventive Health Training Program\, Mira Liao. The course includes 1 hour of nutrition and instruction in the prevention of lead exposure\, as required by California Health and Safety Code Section 1596.866.  \nAt this time\, translators and additional guests may not join attendees at 4Cs of Alameda County’s health and safety trainings including CPR & First Aid and Preventive Health due to capacity and regulation requirements. If an attendee brings a guest or translator\, they will be asked to wait in the lobby until the end of the class. SUMMARY:Building Authentic Family Partnerships and Engagement in Early Childhood Settings
DESCRIPTION:This interactive virtual training is designed for early childhood professionals working in childcare centers and family childcare homes who are seeking to deepen their ability to foster meaningful\, respectful\, and culturally responsive partnerships with families. Participants will explore strategies for building trust\, honoring family voices\, and creating inclusive environments that support ongoing family engagement. The session will provide real-world examples\, reflective exercises\, and tools that can be immediately applied in early childhood settings to strengthen family-provider relationships and improve child outcomes. \nBy the end of this training\, participants will be able to: \n\nIdentify and describe at least three strategies to build trust and authentic relationships with families from diverse cultural and linguistic backgrounds.\nLearn easy two-way communication methods to increase family engagement in daily routines and program activities.\nDemonstrate the ability to design a family engagement activity that reflects the strengths\, interests\, and cultures of the children and families served. \n\n  \nRegistration ends September 17\, 2025 \nThank you for your interest! SUMMARY:CPR/FA for Child Care Providers September 20th\, 2025 (In Person)
DESCRIPTION:This curriculum is used to train child care providers who are new to the field or experienced early care and education professionals who are taking the course to refresh their knowledge and keep their certification current. This training curriculum provides the eight hours of EMSA approved CPR/First Aid training required to obtain a child care license.   \nThis class will be facilitated in English\, all participants must have a basic understanding of spoken and written English.  At this time\, translators and additional guests may not join attendees at 4Cs of Alameda County’s Health and Safety trainings due to capacity and regulation requirements.  If you need a class facilitated in a language other than English\, please contact Barbara Kasnic at barbarak@4c-alameda.org or Mary L.
