The curriculum is used to train child care providers who are new to the field or experienced early care and education professionals who are taking the course to update their knowledge and make sure they are up-to-date. This course provides 8 hours of the Preventive Health and Safety and Nutrition requirement, using curriculum and materials approved by the California Emergency Medical Services Authority, under the direction of the UCSF-California Childcare Health Program Preventive Health Training Program, Bobbie Rose and Mira Liao. The course includes 1 hour of nutrition and instruction in the prevention of lead exposure, as required by California Health and Safety Code Section 1596.866. 

Please note the following: 

• This is an in-person class, 4Cs staff will not be checking vaccination status, however all attendees will be asked to wear a mask during class
• You must register separately for each attendee and pay the $125.00 fee
• Upon completion of class, 4Cs will issue a reimbursement of $75 to each participant
• Registration  will end when capacity is reached (24participants) or on Friday June 9, 2023 whichever comes first.

Certification will only be issued to participants that attend and complete all modules. Once a class reservation and payment is made, NO REFUNDS, NO RESCHEDULES, AND NO CANCELLATIONS are permitted. Classes are in high demand but are limited in size. If an emergency should arise, a client may reschedule once per year by emailing healthandsafety@4c-alameda.org within 24 hours of the reserved class.
