Important Information for Child Care Providers
Funding for Licensed Child Care Providers Available!
Applications are now open for First 5 Alameda County’s Early Care and Education Emergency Grants.
This new funding is designed to help people who provide child care in homes and centers stay open, improve their facilities, buy supplies, pay workers, and more. All eligible applicants will receive funding.
- Eligibility: Licensed providers can qualify based on location, or based on accepting subsidies. To receive funding, your program must be licensed in good standing, be open, and remain open in Alameda County with children birth to age 5 enrolled.

Stipends for All Family/Friend/Neighbor Caregivers (FFNs)
4Cs is now distributing $4000 stipends to eligible Family/Friend/Neighbor Caregivers (FFNs). Eligible unlicensed FFN providers do not need to apply, but they do need to Opt-In to receive funding. Funds will come directly from 4Cs of Alameda County or the AP program in which they received reimbursement for caring for children on Alameda County’s Alternative Payment Programs
- Eligibility: FFNs who accept payment by voucher or alternative payment agency and are caring for or have cared for a child 12 years old or younger at any time since April 1st, 2025 and have opted-in.
- Stipends have been distributed starting December 2025.
