Families Served: Foster parents, emergency relative caregivers and non-minor dependents apart of the California Foster Bridge Program living in Southern Alameda County.

Services: Enhanced child care referrals, help with subsidized child care options and applications, connecting to Child Care Resource and Referral agencies based on where the caregiver lives, additional resources specific to family need.

Eligibility:
To receive Navigation services we must have a referral from Alameda County Social Services. Navigation services are for current and former foster families in Southern Alameda County. Unfortunately, those fostering through a Foster Family Agency are not eligible for the child care voucher component of the Foster Bridge program.

Families Served: Families in the unincorporated Alameda County area (Ashland/Cherryland) with children ages 0-8 years old.

Services: Individualized support through family success planning and coaching, which includes:

  • Rent, utility, grocery, and diaper assistance
  • Referral to 4Cs and community resources such as food distributions, child care and educational programs, health services, and other supports
  • Interactive, virtual parent cafés

Clients Served: Child care providers and parents who have children with developmental disabilities living in or providing child care services in Southern Alameda County including Castro Valley, Fremont, Hayward, Newark, San Leandro, San Lorenzo, and Union City.
Services: 4Cs Inclusion Navigator helps clients navigate the system and receive local agency resources and services.

For child care providers (see more information in English (PDF), Spanish (PDF), and Chinese (PDF)):

  • Provide Professional Development Training for Child Care Providers and Teachers
  • Provide one-on-one technical assistance, navigation to inclusion resources, and advocacy as necessary for parents and providers
  • Facilitate support groups and discussion groups with Providers and Parents

For parents:

  • Provide support group for parents of special needs children
  • Positive Behavior support parenting workshops
  • Help parents get local inclusion services and resources
