  • Native Boogie and Beats September 19th | 12:00pm – 2:00pm | Lincoln Park 1450 High Street. Alameda, CA 94501 • Free Event • RSVP Required • Traditional Powwow Dancing and Drumming Concert • In partnership with the City of Alameda, Rhythmix in the Parks brings people of all ages together to explore music, dance, visual art and educational opportunities.
  • Science in the Park October 3rd | 9:00am – 3:00pm | Cal State East Bay 25800 W Loop Rd, Hayward Highland, CA • Free Event • Learn about STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, Math), education, the environment, etc. • Bring your bike for a free tune up from bike mobile • Interactive Activities, Water Rockets, Lego Activities, Food Trucks, and much more!
  • ALMA Fund – MAFFinancial support funds for when a family’s primary earner is detained or deported.
  • Season of Sharing (SOS) Fund • Provides one-time, non-recurring financial assistance to individuals and families who have emergency needs, including housing and critical family needs.
  • SparkPoint (Fremont Resource Center) • Provides a full range of free financial services to help individuals and families get out of debt and achieve long-term financial stability.
  • California’s Summer EBT program (AKA SUN Bucks) • Provides $120 per eligible child to help families buy groceries when school is out. Most eligible families receive benefits automatically. However, if your child does not qualify automatically, then you must submit a Universal Benefits Application to their school by August 31, 2026.
  • 4Cs of Alameda County’s Monthly Food Distribution First Thursday of every month | 1pm-3pm | Hayward Office Garage (22351 City Center Drive, Hayward) • A variety of canned and dry goods available for you to take. Please bring a shopping bag. Due to safety and limited supply, registration is required!
  • Alameda County Community Food Bank’s CalFresh Application Assistance • Helpline will connect you to a source for groceries or a hot meal the same day you call.
  • Women, Infants & Children Program • Helps families with healthy food, nutrition tips, and expert guidance on breastfeeding and chestfeeding.
  • Asian Health Services’ Monthly Food Distribution First Wednesday of every month | 10am | Lincoln Recreation Center (261 11th St, Oakland) • Free food packages for patients and community members. Must bring ID and shopping bag.
  • San Leandro Community Food Pantry Monthly Food Distribution • Every Thursday | 6-8 pm | 14235 Bancroft Ave, San Leandro • A variety of items, protein, dairy, fruits & vegetables, bread, and desserts.  Please bring a shopping bag. Line starts at 5 registration is required!
  • The East Oakland Collective Monthly Food Distribution • Every Thursday | 11am-1pm | 7800 MacArthur Blvd, Oakland • Fresh and healthy meals from local restaurants and groceries. A variety of fresh groceries- produce, meat, and shelf stable goods. No eligibility requirements. Registration required and available on site.
  • CRECE East Bay • 8/28 and every other Friday | 12-1pm | 1901 Santa Clara Ave, Alameda Ca • A variety of fresh produce, meat and canned goods.
  • Hope 4 the Heart • Every Tuesday | 1pm | and every 3rd Saturday | 7am | 22035 Meekland Ave, Hayward • Fresh and canned goods. Must bring picture ID and proof of residency. Please bring your own bags.
  • Tiburcio Vasquez Health Center  • Health Insurance Aid • Call or text (510) 288-3505 and a certified Covered California team member will help you apply for free or low-cost health insurance!
  • East Bay Agency for Children • Health Insurance Aid • Serves families in the Hayward Unified School District to help with healthcare insurance enrollment and retention (Medi-Cal, Healthy Families, Kaiser Health Care Plan).
  • La Familia Counseling Center • Counseling & Emotional Support • Provides high-quality mental health and community support services in the San Francisco Bay Area.
  • Family Paths • Counseling & Emotional Support • Offers caring mental health help for children, teens, and families going through hard times like stress, trauma, abuse, or violence.
  • Housing Resource Center (HRC) Access Points • Housing Resource Centers provide housing problem solving services and other coordinated entry services to people who are experiencing homelessness in Alameda County.
  • Hayward Housing Division • Assists residents in identifying resources to help address their housing needs, such as information on rental housing, home ownership and more.
  • Eden Housing • Manages high-quality, affordable housing for low-income families, seniors, veterans, and individuals with disabilities.
  • Bay Area Affordable Housing Service Center • Providing affordable housing resources and information to low-income and senior individuals or families in the Bay Area.
  • Doorway – Bay Area Affordable Housing • Find and apply for an affordable apartment. The listings on this site are verified opportunities for active housing vacancies and waitlists.
    • La Vista • Eligible applicants will be contacted on a first come first serve basis until vacancies are filled. Application due: September  30, 2026 at 5:00 PM.
    • Depot Community Apartments • Eligible applicants will be contacted on a first come first serve basis until vacancies are filled. Application due September 30, 2026 at 5:00 PM.
    • Hayward Village – Senior2 Vacant Units. 55+. Eligible applicants will be contacted on a first come first serve basis until vacancies are filled. Application due: Nov 10, 2026 at 5:00 PM.
  • Centro Legal de la Raza • Serves the needs of most vulnerable community members, including families living in poverty, youth, victims of violent crimes, asylum seekers, and detained individuals in removal proceedings.
  • Student Transit Pass Program • Eligible middle and high school students in Alameda County can receive a free Student Transit Pass, offering unlimited free rides on AC Transit, Union City Transit, or Wheels, 50% off BART fares, discounts on other Bay Area transit systems.
