Raised in Union City and now calling Oakland home raising a son of her own with her husband, Imani feels a strong connection to the needs of families in Alameda County. She remained in the Bay Area for her undergraduate degree, earning a Bachelors degree in Psychology and African/African American Studies. She has an MPA from Baruch College, CUNY and was  a participant in the National Urbans Fellow Program.
Her passion for developing strong, resilient, and healthy families is evident in her role on the Board and her position as Chief of Staff at Paradise Baptist Church. She believes in building communities by providing support to families as a whole,  making resources and information accessible to all those who need it is essential, and that it is critical that all children get off to an equally good start. She is proud to be a part of an agency that does everything possible for families to thrive.
