In 1989 Paulene accepted the position of Outreach Worker and joined the 4Cs Family in our Oakland Office. She was born and raised in East Oakland and was very excited about the work 4Cs offered to children and families. She was also very proud to be giving back to her community. In 1992, life circumstances changed her path and she left 4Cs to pursue her Masters Degree in Social Work. Having made solid relationships with 4Cs staff and mentors, she kept in touch while she was in graduate school and upon graduating, she came back to 4Cs in 1993 to pick up where she left off and to offer more. She moved up in the ranks and is now the Director of our Child Care Payment Programs. To date her greatest joy is seeing families and children thrive and helping wherever she can! Although her beloved football team left Oakland (again), she remains a die-hard Raiders fan. She is the mother of 1 daughter, Alana, who is making her very proud.
