Part 1 – Elevating Dual Language Learners (DLL): Children’s Language, Culture, and Identity Through Meaningful Family Connections 03.07.26 (2 Part-Series, In Person)

This two-part professional development training series offers an engaging learning opportunity focused on supporting Dual Language Learners.  Participants will explore strategies for honoring home languages, strengthening family partnerships, and integrating children’s cultural and linguistic identities into everyday learning.  (NOTE: Participants must attend Part 1 in order to attend Part 2)

Part 1: Sat. March 7 @ 9:00am – 12:30pm

Part 2: Sat. March 28 @ 9:00am – 12:30pm 

You will learn:
  • How the use of a child’s home language can boost DLL children’s engagement in learning
  • Concrete and asset-based practices for engaging multilingual families
  • Activity ideas for integrating children’s home languages into everyday learning opportunities
