Strong Partnerships with Families is Fundamental: Creating Relevant Learning Opportunities for DLL Children (In-Person)

March 29 @ 9:00 am - 12:30 pm

Join us for an interactive professional development session focused on evidence-based classroom practices for creating relevant learning opportunities for DLL children. We will start with a community building activity, followed by grounding data about DLL children. The training will include demonstration videos and photos from the field to spark conversation amongst participants. We will also use implementation guides that have been specifically designed to support the implementation of the POLL strategies in early learning settings.

In this training we will explore:

  • The concept of the Affective Filter and how it impacts DLL children’s learning
  • Family Supports category of POLL (personalized oral language learning) framework to explore
  • How educators can partner with families to ensure full engagement of DLL children in daily activities

Registration ends March 28, 2025
