In light of recent immigration detainment fears, please know that 4Cs of Alameda County is safe space for all, including members of our immigrant community. 4Cs clients will never be asked for their immigration status and our agency will protect those we serve to the fullest extent of the law. We stand by our Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Belonging Commitment Statement with full conviction as we now, more than ever, will “actively create safe, welcoming, and supportive spaces for our employees and clients to thrive.” We can protect our community more effectively when we base our actions on accurate information.
Family Resources and Trainings
- Families can create a Family Preparedness Plan and to update their list of emergency contacts.
- Families can send their kids to school with a “Village Information Booklet” (available in English and Spanish) to help community members step in if a caregiver has been detained.
- Families can learn about their rights as an immigrant, and how to express them via the Know Your Rights Guides. In addition, 4Cs distributes Red Cards at our office to your staff and families, which provide steps to help people assert their rights and defend themselves.
