Building Authentic Family Partnerships and Engagement in Early Childhood Settings

September 18, 2025 @ 7:00 pm - 9:00 pm

This interactive virtual training is designed for early childhood professionals working in childcare centers and family childcare homes who are seeking to deepen their ability to foster meaningful, respectful, and culturally responsive partnerships with families. Participants will explore strategies for building trust, honoring family voices, and creating inclusive environments that support ongoing family engagement. The session will provide real-world examples, reflective exercises, and tools that can be immediately applied in early childhood settings to strengthen family-provider relationships and improve child outcomes.

By the end of this training, participants will be able to:

  • Identify and describe at least three strategies to build trust and authentic relationships with families from diverse cultural and linguistic backgrounds.
  • Learn easy two-way communication methods to increase family engagement in daily routines and program activities.
  • Demonstrate the ability to design a family engagement activity that reflects the strengths, interests, and cultures of the children and families served.
